Just scored another copy of Rory Gallagher/Live in Europe. It's a US pressing, the one on the left. I already had the Italian pressing on the right. Look how different they are. The US pressing has a thick cardboard cover, no plastic laminate, different layout on the front and a totally different back side. Damn now i gotta keep them both!
I spun the US pressing yesterday, not bad at all, i'll spin the Italian today.

  The whistle stop DVD is great. I love the Roxy Music cut with Brian Eno in back on a synth.

Rory at his best here showing his amazing versatility: heavy bluesrock, slide electric, fingerpicking acoustic, mandolin. The bottom line is always the music of course. Highly recommended.

I don't have that particular LP yet, but I have a few of his others. (All U.S. Polydor pressings) Rory was certainly one of the greats.

    There are some amazing clips on YouTube of him in concert - check 'em out.
    My fave is his performance with Jack Bruce, live. Amazing work by both gents.
