Not a good idea to use a demagnatizer on any cartridge in my opinion. If you feel compelled to 'clean' the coils in a cart, use the Cardas sweep LP, it is non-evasive and it works really well.Happy listening

cardas is a good decision , other is hold both rca plugs together , + to - , let a record run for 1 min. and listen again
