In theory that's a perfect cart/stylus for the 50H. I suspect it's the record, as you indicate, or perhaps the stylus is worn. There are some cheap, yet decent Pickering aftermarkets if you wanted to go that route. I believe some retailers like Voice Of Music still carries a few originals, too.
My table runs a little fast, but not so much that it's noticeable, at least to me. I listen to a lot of piano music and warbling isn't an issue. I've had my table for several years, and it's a keeper. Wouldn't change a thing about it. Or my Lab 80, for that matter.

This one runs a little fast also, but so close...like 33.4 rpm...not an issue.
Tell me, how does the sound of your Lab 80 compare to the 50H? As much descriptive detail as you'd like to provide, I would gobble it up. I've been thinking of adding a Lab 80 to the collection. Also curious about tracking capabilities of the Lab 80 tonearm as well as speed stability. I've heard they have issues. Is that true?
I have a 50H i bought new way back when, never had any innergroove distortion, I used it
with a Shure V15 Type III and a Stanton 681EEE, do you have the overhang set correctly?
No warbling or flutter either.
I think so. As I understand it, that little pointed plastic appendage in front of the headshell (that is sometimes a brush, but not on mine) is the guide. You line up the stylus tip exactly with that point. Is that correct? What is the most accurate way to set overhang? I tried placing my protractor on the platter, but it won't fit. The arm rest is in the way.
Yes that is the way to set overhang on the 50H. If the stylus can touch that point, you're good to go.
If you're experiencing igd with most of your records, and the set up is correct(and it sounds like it is) then it's the stylus. Try another one.
I'm with Berger on this one.
By the way, the brush is on the other side of the pointy thing,
you unscrew it and turn it over.
