Nice nude elliptical on aluminum cantilever. Smooth. very musical cart. just gets out of the way of the music.

I've been using one for a few years now. Very easy to live with. I've certainly heard things I liked less for more money.
Hi Henry,
I have little to no experience with modern MM cartridges, but I noticed that 2juki sells the AT440MLa for $165 with free shipping. Would that be better than the AT120ET?
Best regards,
John Elison
Futzed with VTA until I was blue in the face. To me, it sounded a lot like the OC9ML/II, which I also could not get rid of fast enough. The 120ET is a real sweetheart, like the AT33EV.

Ah! Good to know!
Good question.
The 440MLa may well be "better", but I'd stick with the 120ET Henry recommended.
Microline cartridges are fussy. They can sound absolutely wonderful. But, if the stars are not all aligned they can be dreadful.
I think an elliptical-stylus cartridge is a safer recommendation.
Dean.
reelsmith's axiom: Its going to be used equipment when I sell it, so it may as well be used equipment when I buy it.
Having owned both, I always thought the 440 sounded a bit thin compared to the other one.
