those feet ar ok for some application but real isolation can only come from a microscope platform (active) or opposing (repelling) magnetic feet, OR air suspension of some kind..

Thanks for all of the information.Since tne vinyl sounds good now,I'm probably floating a solution in search of a problem!I do play records with the dust cover off to reduce feedback...
i have tried removing the cover and didn't haer a diff. i think ONCE someone demoed feedback with a cover in the up position.
as a routine, i play my SOTA cover down with no effect.

and there is always....
They've been a worthwhile improvement on a friends' 1200 which he has fully tricked out with upgraded platter, bearing and Transfi arm.
Many on theartofsound UK forum Techepedia section have discussed these in great detail.
If I tap on the rack that the TT sits on,it is audible. The table sits on a 2" thick wooden platform that is supported by the cork and rubber blocks that Maple Tree sold. The link to Sorbothane footers are much less expensive.Would Sorbothane isolate as well as Isonode feet?
I haven't tried Sorbothane footers myself, but most of what I read about their performance isn't good. Basically, better than nothing but inferior to most alternatives based on others' experiences that I've read about. General consensus is that Sorbothane deadens transients both leading edge and decay. In bright, harsh systems that might provide some "relief", as a band-aid, but in a better sounding system you would be losing detail and transparency that you want.
My situation is similar as I try to decide what to replace stock feet with on my Technics SH-10B3 base for my SP10mk2. This weekend a friend will bring over his Stillpoints for a demo. Those and other steel or ceramic bearing type solutions are the way I am leaning at the moment, although some are awfully pricey. I tried my Symposium Rollerblock 2s which are excellent with my preamp and phono stage, and they didn't do much for the turntable, which surprised and disappointed a bit.
