Does anybody have experienced hum from Oracle's Delphi motor assembly with Grado /Music Maker III or wood bodied Grados ?
Thanks, W
Follow Ups:
I've run a Ref Platinum, 1.5 mv Sonata, and now a Reference Reference and haven't heard any hum with mine. Are the motors different between models? I have the mk 2 with the original motor(I think), and running it with a Hagerman Bugle phono stage.
Word bodies are the same metal body underneath. Various setups can have hum like Regas. As a Grasp dealer their is almost always a way around this fooling with grounding schemes. Start with lifting the AC ground with a cheater plug if the Oracle has one. Then try various grounding. Good luck.

The thing is that I've got Delphi V with no money left for any of better arms . At disposal is Rega RB600 with incognito wire and Techno weight, very light, rare and really pretty looking /matching the table Audio Technica AT-1100 with two wands or eventually old Hadcok GH242 unipivot. Now, I'm leaning toward Audio Technica since I could mount my Music Maker III , Audio Note IQ3 or ev Grado Sonata Statement (although it sounds better in heavy arms really). Oracle tonearm plates are rather expensive so if Grado carts are going to hum I will go with Rega and have more cart choices. I should probably contact Oracle.
FWIW: I have three Decca/London cartridges and none of them hum on my Delphi 5/6. Generally speaking, anywhere a Grado will hum, a Decca will hum louder. :)
