As most of you know, when people know you're into vinyl/lps they tend to drop off the records they don't know what to do with. Listening this evening to the Beatles courtesy of just such a drop-off. Impeccable and scratch-free and great listening... The Beatles/ 1962-66. Really great listening!!!Sim

Nice compilation of Beatles songs. Many of the tracks originally only available as singles. Orig US issue of 62-66 is on Apple label & if you're lucky has "sterling LH" (Lee Hulko, mastering engr @Sterling Sound) stamped & initialed in the deadwax (spinout). SQ is exc, within an eyelash of org UK Parlophone. Subsequent pressings were on Capitol label. Exc SQ as well. Good for you.

My friends usually drop off their cat... But a real nice asylum inmate here in the South Bay did give me a whole box of LaserDiscs a couple weeks ago-- a generous guy!
I have a soft-spot for LD's- its the analog stereo in prt, and I don't mind the lower resolution of the image. Watched "Singin' In The Rain" today.

I have a red vinyl pressing of this album. When vinyl went out of vogue with the release of CD's, Walgreen's had a bin of $2 records. I found this Beatles album which I discovered upon opening at home had red vinyl. As an added bonus, it was a Japanese pressing.
