Why do you need an SUT to begin with? The Bugle with 50-dB gain sounds like it should be perfect for the 1.5-mV Grado Sonata. SUTs are normally used with low-output moving coil cartridges and phono stages with 35 to 40-dB gain.
Good luck,

I also have a Denon 103 and Goldring Eroica LX that I listen to. I'm able to switch between 40,50, and 60 db on my Bugle but was looking at other tube phono stages (Cornet 3 being one of them). The Sonata is the only medium output in my collection.
The Bugle at 60-dB gain should work just fine with the DL-103 and Goldring. Of course, you'll need a SUT with MM only phono stages like the Cornet 3. I think you need to buy only one SUT, though. My CM-1131 has switchable step-up ratios of 1:20 and 1:40. You might be better off with the Sky CineMag with step-up ratios of 1:15 and 1:30. Regardless, I think you need to buy only one SUT, though.
Good luck,
John Elison
