and if you buy the import 3 CD set "Live In Japan" which is the full three nights that were culled into the 2 LP set "Made In Japan"' you will get three, somewhat different, versions of the song, recorded on consecutive nights in August of '72.

but I do have the complete Deep Purple vinyl discography anyhoo... It's that song is beautifully composed and somehow perfectrly suited to the capabilities and sound that band had at that era. Haunting quality, I'd daresay!

Glad to hear that the song and recording holds so much of a powerful memory over some of us. I do believe it held up the test of time at least for me, not all music can do that. I can not tell the story of the LP but it was a powerful time of my life.
