It's a bit pricey from some sources, but with the exchange rate what it is now, you can get it for around $20 from Amazon UK.
The Michael Head record is from last year, but I've got a stack of pretty cool vinyl from Amazon UK recently for good prices, including the new ones from The Early Years called II , which has a bunch of that nice atmospheric post-punk sound I love, and the brand new one from Josefin Öhrn + The Liberation called Mirage , some cool psych music reminiscent of Neu! inspired bands like Stereolab and Laika (their Horse Dance debut from last year is very cool too). And the two new first time vinyl issues of the Richmond Fontaine Thirteen Cities and The Fitzgerald , two great ones from about 10 years ago, especially Thirteen Cities , really a modern alt-country classic, expanded to a 2-LP set with the full Arizona recording sessions. All for around $20 each delivered to the US.
Even one gem that grabs me is worth the leads so thanks!
As far as cost.. hah.. if I love it, i'll get it. The La's LP alone I played twice today is plenty cult revered in the UK. Was something like a $70 Discogs purchase a little ways back. I'm a UK Punk, post Punk, Pub Rock, Brit Pop junkie.. So all over these suggestions.
Yea, that one and only La's album is great, been playing it pretty much since the time it first came out, saw a reissue awhile back but some said it wasn't that great, cool you've got an original. The Shack Waterpistol record from 1995 is almost a companion to that, might've been out at the same time except for the Head brothers normal run of bad luck. But Michael Head has been at the front of many great records going back to the Pale Fountains in the 80s, and Shack in the 90s, and with the Strands, and has a new one coming out early next year with The Red Elastic Band.
