I considered that but if I alter it to accommodate one warped record wouldn't that ruin things for the rest of my collection?
I'll just get the reissue for now and patiently wait for another copy to materialize.

Discogs has loads of them for cheap. Even a new one.
Well, he strongly implied he prefers a first pressing and those are $200 and up for bad to OK copies, so not dirt cheap.
Not much one can do about that. Although.. if he does ruin the cart, he's about halfway to the cost of a new one.
My experience leads me to believe that many cartridges are way too low in VTA/SRA angle and need to be raised up anyway. It can't hurt to try, right.
