Hi fred76.
I think there are a few very good sources for the bronze end plates.
re: td124 bearing end caps and polymer thrust pads:
Two that come to mind are:
AudioSilete in Italy. his ebay store:

Jim Campbell still sells these using his ebay moniker jec965

(select, copy & paste these web addresses into your browser address bar.)Those two sellers offer this part at very competitive pricing. I'll let them have the market. Their products look fine to me.

Hi Steve,
Thanks for the links.. I mentioned your end caps 'cause yours looked like the business (the quality machining..) when I saw them on your site years ago.
Anyway, both Simone's and Jim's auctions look attractive.. Both seem to offer Teflon thrust pads, I wonder how they would hold up in the long term.. Jim has the advantage of offering a silicon nitride ball bearing. While Simone has an alternative Kydex thustpad thrown in plus an extra oil paper gasket. I wonder how Kydex compares to Teflon.
Thanks again Steve.
I think a saw a youtube video of Fremer interviewing Simone or his rep at the Munich audio show..
Regards....
Yes, Teflon thrust pad materials are too soft for this application. I use Delrin, Teflon infused Delrin or Torlon 4301. At least they have the bronze part of it.....and the gasket.

Yes, Steve.. I'd most likely get a couple of Torlon thrustpads from you when you get to have them in stock.. Thanks.
Regards..
