Hello All, I am undecided between to phono preamps. Both A recommended by Stereophile Mag.
1. Parasound JC3+
2. Lehmann Audio Decade
Anybody have experience with both that can give me their opinion.
I currently am using a PS Audio GCPH

IMO a Stereopile 'endorsement' is a Red Flag.

You would be well served by the fine Liberty B2B-1, though as several posters have stated, matching your preferred cart(s)to any electronics has to be considered too. In addition, if musical values with neutrality, fine dynamic range and a quiet background are wanted, you might also consider the versatile Sutherland Insight.
I ended up buying a Liberty Audio B2B-1. When I bought it the price was $1749 but it now sells for $1999. The Lehmann Decade turned out to be a very close second to the Liberty Audio product in my opinion.
The B2B-1 is so quiet it uncovers details in the music that are difficult to resolve with many phono preamps. I liked the fact it was an all FET class A phono stage and that it had so many highly rated reviews from professional reviewers and from private owners.
It is dead neutral as far as tonal character is concerned. If you want tube type midrange tonality look elsewhere. Since you were looking at the Parasound and the Lehmann I figure you wanted the same type of sound quality.
Liberty Audio is the factory direct product line from PBN audio. The B2B-1 is the first product from Liberty Audio and you can only buy it direct online. The B2B-1 is based on existing PBN phono preamps that sell for 6-10x as much. The build quality is first rate and I could not be happier with my purchase.
I doubt that there is much to be complaining about with any of these products.
Best of luck with whatever you buy,
Ed

Life is analog...digital is just samples thereof
Nice to know about another brand. I will look into it. One thing that has me thinking is that the Parasound is made in China while the Lehmann is made in Germany. I will be using a Koetsu Urushi Gold that are quite revealing MC's. All my system is Mark Lev so I don't know what would happen if I put a tube section in the system.
If you're all solid state, all the more reason to get a tube phono stage. :)
Is made in California.

did you give a tube phono stage a listen?
I recently demoed a Manley Chinook and found it to have a near SS quietness and the tube magic that most SS units can't touch. Very nice and in the same price point.
I've heard the Parasound, and indeed, it's a nice phono stage.
I just wonder whether further details such as the type of cartridge that you use and your musical tastes/expectations may help inmates give you the best advice.
