How were you grading the covers previously.....you set yourself up for that one.

wasnt grading them at all actually..
Popsy opened up an interesting topic and I think it is an important one to discuss.
I don't think we'll ever all agree but we don't have to...that doesn't mean anyone is lacking in integrity or anything else. Different strokes .. but it should be recognized these differences do affect the exchanges made and prices paid to build a collection.
Ultimately it would be nice to see members of this wonderful congregation be as successful as possible in those transactions.
For my part, I am extremely grateful to have a place to enjoy discussing these things when time permits. Believe me, I don't have anyone else around me who wants to hear about LPs ;(

It couldn't hurt, especially if there is a general correlation. Just put yourself in the shoes of someone you don't know who gets a record that looks VG and is told "no worries mate it plays good".
I know that's not your intent but if you were a stranger and received that...well you get what I'm saying...adding the "visual" grade makes your "play" grade a true extra service to your customers with no downside!
Good luck with all your endeavors!
Just goes against what I would want, a play graded lp vs a lp that LOOKS good but may not be. Ah well, gone are the good 'ol days. gotta go with the new days.
Thanks for the help and thoughts and maybe you'll buy some lp's from me when I get this sorted out :)
