There may be a little bit of nostalgia for vinyl in me, but the main reasons I listen to vinyl are:
1. I bought a considerable amount of recorded music before the invention of CDs, and I am not going to throw out those beloved recordings and re-purchase them in another format.
2. There is a lot of recorded material on LPs that is unavailable on other media. I suppose I could dub them into a sound editor and publish them on CD, but why spend the time on that? I can enjoy them without that effort.
3. One of the new things I love is my (used) VPI record cleaner. Really spiffs up the sound of LPs at minimal cost and expense of time. A boon for sure.
Enjoy your music!

Follow Ups:
as for #2, I recently purchased an HRT line streamer so that I could rip some of my vinyl content and save it as 24/96.
Why? Because I have gotten spoiled with the ability to stream anything from my digital library to a range of players throughout the house and in the garage. Some of it is from 45 RPM 12" singles that last only ten minutes or so. There are times I'd rather spend more time listening that shuffling disks and cueing. :)
I generally feel its not worthwhile to digitize LPs, since they're sitting right here in my living-room, 9 ft. away and I recently switched to a semi-auto turntable that makes playing them pretty much care-free.
My past results with digitizing vinyl have been quite satisfactory however. A careful recording, played back on the same equipment as contained the A/D converter, seems to sound quite fine. My experiments used a high-quality, professional HHB CD burner. CD's burned from the vinyl were damn near indistinguishable from the vinyl (given the resolution capability of my system). High sample rates may help, but the differences there are pretty fine and I suspect the way the analog is handled becomes the limiting factor in less expensive gear.
Only one of my systems has a turntable, so it is for wider access and travel.
