All cartridges have a rated compliance value.
All tonearms have a rated effective mass value.
Use these two values to calculate if a given cartridge will match well enough with a given tonearm.

And the OP might like to visit Vinyl Engine where the database will give him the compliance and mass figures for arm and cartridge that are needed to do the calculation. There is also a chart of combinations and resulting resonant frequencies found in "Tools" (therefore no need for a calculation).
However not all of the data for the OP's particaulr arm and cartridge is logged there.
It seems that the mass of the Jelco arm is circa 13.5g. A typical B&O MMC cartridge has a mass of 3.5-4g with a complicance of 25-30. This will produce a resonance of around 6-7 Hz which is not ideal.
with my calculations the B&O is just a little over 7hz for the resonant frequency. Not too bad but with the Oil damping this should work fine.
