I sold off a few Prince LPs. And the main guy and I were talking. He was saying no one sells him records anymore.. So I went home, went crazy and brought in another 150.
I am certain I 'could' sell them for triple what he offered.. But I despise selling stuff to morons who complain even when you hand them a good deal. And I like him.
And he usually sells for 'lower than average' price in the store anyway..
I just ripped through 3 rows of the 'Rock' pulling the less wanted stuff.
I have one more row I could do....?
(And NO do NOT ask me for a list)

10 year ago nobody wanted vinyl Then the hipsters
came along and started a buying spree, Now everyone
thinks Their old scratched up records are worth a fortune.
Only record I have sold in the last 45 years. I don't collect singles, but I had a few. I had tranfered it to my PC at 24/96,and before that it had only been played less than 10 times in the last 30+ years. So the record was mint, jacket was very good. I had seen one on eBay a few years ago, it had sold for over $100.
It is from a long disbanded local power pop group The Shivvers, "Teen Line"/" When I Was Younger". I put it up for sale on Discogs, I sold it to a guy in England, who had me mail it to Spain. It sold for $425 + shipping.
I'm pretty sure it was the most valuable record in my collection. I'd like to think my "Wendy O Williams" autographed copy of the Plasmatics "New Hope For The Wretched" is valuable, but probably only to me, and I would only sell if desperate.
I don't need to know what records you sold - but I and am sure many others would be very curious to know exactly where you were able to get $4 a piece for that many of your used records at once....seriously, if you or anyone else can share this, I have a friend who wants to get rid of about that many LPs and she would love to be able to get that much for them.

Would like to find stores in metro Detroit that still buy records. Have about 350 albums and 450 45 rpm's and a couple of hundred cd's would like to sell
Find nearly any independent record store. They will buy used LPs. Some pay more than others.
The worst is "Half Price Books" unless you get amazingly lucky, and have a clerk who looks up the records... Instead of offering you five cents each.
But your chances of getting a fair price at a Half Price bookstore is way way less than getting hit by lightning while cowering in your basement.
Now this assumes you have records which are VG+ and ones someone wants.
