My tests were with a Soundsmith Zephyr MIMC during initial setup. I achieved -29.29 and -30.16 = .87 db difference. I will re-check when I reach 30hrs.
Follow Ups:
Were you able to hear the Zephyr MIMC and the Zephyr Mk.II? I've been wondering how they compare to each other.
Tony, I can compare the MIMC to my Denon DL 304. The short summary is..so much better but I only have 27 hrs. Where the Denon had sibilance, the MIMC does not. It is more dynamic and it's still a babe. Can't wait for it to grow up.
I did not hear the Mk II. I asked Peter Green @ Soundsmith if the difference between the MIMC and MK II was just about gain. He said they used better components in the MIMC. Music Direct had the MIMC on sale during late December and early January for the same price as the MK II. I bought the MIMC.
