. . . maybe with the exception of the Dvorak Eighth. (Those portamenti in the third movement are way too cloying for me.) But certainly, the Strauss recordings, the Beethoven Seventh, The Planets (WAY better than Karajan's digital remake for DG!), Brahms 1 and 3 (and Tragic Overture), Haydn Symphonies, Mozart Symphonies. . . There's some variability in the SQ of course, and a general rule of thumb is that the earlier the original release date, the better (i.e., more coherent) the engineering is likely to be.

Helpful. But I was mostly wondering about the recent rereleases, of which the Peer Gynt is one. have they all been redone? Don't see them on the Decca site, but maybe I looked wrong.
- I think all those Karajan/Decca performances have been re-released in a single album - Chris from Lafayette 10:53:06 11/30/15 (0)
  Of course, now I'm talking about CD rather than vinyl.
  
  It's a 10-CD set which one of the Amazon re-sellers is offering for $27.00 - IOW, way less than what you'd pay for typical releases from Naxos and other budget labels. Crazy!
