Not many MCs out there for < 600. Ortofon Quintet mono has an elliptical tip and is 15cu. DL102 is even stiffer.
MM/MI from Soundsmith and Ortofon seem to complete the selection in the price range.

Thanks neobop. I poked around a bit online and saw not too many carts in this range. I don't necessarily need a MC - MM or MI would be fine as long as the mass and compliance are a good match for whatever arm I'd be using. I'd love to find a source that had a comparison of mono carts in this price range.
I forgot. Miyajima Labs has a new mono called Kotetu, said to be quite nice. I think it's designed for mono records only - VTF is 4g. Saw it for sale in the US for $650, but this place in Germany sells it for 428 euro. That's $453.
For a better match with your arm(s), I believe Soundsmith will make any of his carts in mono. If your mono collection is mostly reissues you might want a more advanced tip profile. The Ortofon 2MSE is shibata and of course Soundsmith.
I think Art Dudley is as close as you'll get to an overview.
