Received my Ace back from Andy and had the installation completed today. Couldn't be happier with the outcome. If you ask me to compare from the original stylus, it would be unfair, as the cartridge is 12 years old. With that all said, what I'm hearing is very pleasing. Very linear, with xlint detail and clarity. Highs and mids are super. The Ace was never heavy in the low end and that hasn't changed.
Dan Rosca did the install on my LP12. Super detailed individual with amazing knowledge of all things audio. His phone number is 714-402-1760. He is located in Orange County, California.
The process took approx. 2 weeks which is more than reasonable.
Thanks Andy!

which version of andy's retips did you go with?
suppose I left out the important stuff :) I also suppose it will break in a bit. Sounds good right out of the gate.
About how much did it cost? How did you know it was time to retip?
Boron must be great stuff as it appears very durable. I guess I should invest in a USB microscope or something so I really know the condition and can post on this site for everyone to give me their opinion!
Good questions. The cost was $450 plus $7 for shipping. Why? One of my grandchildren decided to play DJ. Afterward the cart seemed to ride a bit low and it bugged me. But that's ok, because I've had it for about 12 years and I figured it was about time to either purchase new or retip. I basically went by others recommendations. Boron is more rigid than aluminum, so supposedly it is quicker in the energy transfer. Man, I hope that's a good thing!;) Do I like the results? Very much so. Very balanced. Clean, but very listenable. I recommend Andy's work without hesitation. My very fastidious TT guy truly was impressed.
