I've always felt this way too. Learned the hard way though. When I acquired my first decent turntable(a Dual of some ilk)in the early 70's, my first discovery/disappointment was that my old Magnavox portable had destroyed my modest little record collection. Had to start collecting again from scratch, but still have some of those records today seven + turntables later.
This Crosley looks like a copy of that deck. While far from the last word in extension or resolution, the DIII was imminently listenable and a viable avenue for someone serious about getting back into vinyl.
