I like the one from the LME49710 data sheet - it makes my Bugle(1) sound wrong.

Many of the lurkers on VA are familiar with how to start such a project as those on DIY/tubes or DIYaudio would be. You need to expand a bit further on what is involved. OP wants a KIT, most of us are more comfortable at that stage even if we aspire to more.
i.e. "state of the art" from LME49710 remains a pipe dream unless the nudge is close to a shove.

Great idea but my DIY skills are limited to kits. I can solder and read a schematic but sourcing quality parts and building a chassis are areas I have little experience. I just have my boozehound in a hammond project box. I'd like to make something nice which means I'll probably need a kit.

I have built 2 of these with fantastic results. You'll need to build a power supply but the instructions are all there on the website as well as a huge build thread on DIY Audio. It is not really a complete kit and you'll need to order some stuff like the transformers RCAs, wire, standoffs and the like. More like a half kit. I built mine after building a complete kit from Bob Latino and was able to handle it without too much problem. Plus Richard is a real help even though he is all the way in japan. It is designed for LOMC but I run my Sumiko BlackBird a HOMC through it with an adjustment (Calculator on website) to a resistor or two. He also sells a kit for the VSPS which is for MM carts.
