Hi ,
Any of you guys listened to the Whiplash movie original soundtrack LP. Saw the movie for the first time a while ago , I liked the movie and the music is not bad either.
Thanks in advance ,
Mondial

If you liked the movie and don't have this, you'd probably enjoy this record. Excellent performances, similar kind of big band arrangements, impeccably recorded, and Buddy Rich who the kid was emulating. Can usually be found at a reasonable price as well.
Hi Blake thanks for the tip . BTW its direct to disc , what record label is it?
Mondial
Great American Gramophone Company GADD-1030 is the catalog #.
Thanks Blake
if you REALLY like trap drum solos, that is mostly what's here. the music doesn't serve well as a soundtrack.
one that does is Short Cuts, the robert altman film about LA in short stories. it ends up being a nearly all Annie Ross album and a great one at that. i highly recommend the movie.
i did really like the movie and the drum solos were effective within it. i bought the cd, and was a bit let down that the music didn't somehow make sense on the disc.
...regards...tr
Thanks hifitommy
