I'm looking into used SME 10 and 20/2 for another system. Are there are quirks/things to be aware of with them? How is manufacturer support if you're in the USA, do you have to get spare parts/assistance from a dealer or can you work with SME directly? Thanks

I have a SME 10 I purchased used. Works great. Rock Solid. You can buy parts like belts, etc. direct from SME in England. They are very nice and easy to deal with.. The SME 10 needs a drop of oil once a year for maintenance. The 20 is probably better sounding, but I wanted a small footprint, so the 10 works better for me in my system.
Make sure you get a factory shipping carton and all of the tools when you buy. It requires some small odd size allen wrenches that are somewhat expensive to replace.
I do not think you will be disappointed with either the 10 or 20 turntable from SME.
Good luck in your search.
Thanks very much! That is pretty much what I wanted to hear about SME in England.
IIRC - the 10 received lots of praise- it has an arm that is in between the IV and the V - but built for the 10, and not otherwise available...
I heard the older 30 and a friend has the 20/? -
the 20/x is MORE of a turntable - but If I found a 10 for reasonable - I would grab it.

I am leaning towards the 20, mostly because this is going in our living room and it looks a bit more like a traditional turntable.
You won't be disappointed -
Though I would make sure that you are using a V tonearm...
