Anyone heard of this cartridge or better yet, actually heard one?
Was communicating with Aqvox concerning their phono stage. They had mentioned this cartridge and said it was designed around the 2CI phono.
Thanks in advance.

Looks very much like an MC 20 Super or MC 30 Super and specs out similarly. Would be nice to know what the cantilever material is but that's not on the Aqvox site. If it's aluminum I'd say they're a bit pricey.
No experience with the Aqvox cartridges but I recently had an MC 20 Super rebuilt with a new suspension, boron cantilever and microridge stylus specifically to use with my Aqvox and it sounds fabulous-certainly better than I ever remember it sounding before when I did not use it with the Aqvox.
But I'd expect most of the Ortofon cartridges with low internal impedance (around 5 ohms) or many others from different manufacturers with similar low internal impedance to mate very well with the Aqvox as well.
Blake, Have you bypassed the output capacitors in your 2CI ?
Would that mean that the Kiseki Purpleheart at 42 ohms ,will not be an ideal match with the 2CI ?

Have not bypassed the output capacitors on the Aqvox here as there are no input coupling capacitors on the balanced input of the integrated I use. Not a good idea for me unless I want something to blow up haha!
Most of the reading I've done on the Aqvox, as well as my personal experience, suggests that the best synergy on the current mode input exists with low impedance cartridges. I'd be sticking with cartridges around 3-5 ohm internal impedance. The Kiseki would probably work but I'd have concerns that I was not really realizing the full potential from it.
Interesting that you made that observation. My "best match" was using an Allaerts MC-1 ECO.Its' internal resistance is 12 ohms. The EMT was dreadful-peeling scalp.
I would love to purchase another Allaerts, but the importer and the dealer I used were horrible.Thought I was buying a new cartridge,it collapsed (coil/cantilever) a year later.Of course ,with no serial number on the receipt my options were limited.Turns out it was 5 years old and probably used as a demo (undisclosed).Hudson Audio/Tom Hills
Hart offered to help me out,but reneged after he got the results he was after-me paying $1350 for repare.Allaerts said that he could not guarantee a repair witrhin 2 years.Dumped it,as soon as it returned (w/o repair). Not a product worth pursuing any more IMHO.Too bad.
I notice the website was giving notice that he was tending to all his repairs, prior to filling his back-orders.I'm sure there was quite a few.
