I guess you've read the reviews. At its price I wouldn't. Clearly the weakness is crosstalk and a smaller soundstage which would be a BIG (pun intended) no go for me. I kind of consider it a hybrid since it has an actual stylus in the grooves. Nice review here from TAS which I assume you read.

I haven't lived with this cartridge, but it sounded superb with top ARC and Sonus Faber gear at a recent show. Since then I've dialogued with someone whose opinion I respect who auditioned it at length, was tremendously impressed by it, and feels that Valin missed its major strength in his review. It's worth further consideration.
I'm sure its excellent but at the price point with the shortcomings measured in that review I don't know.

Agreed, it's a problematic decision, particularly the notion of sacrificing a treasured phono stage for dedicated electronics of unknown quality that cannot be evaluated independently. Same issue as a strain gauge system.
