Hi Tom -
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. I am a customer of both Audible Elegance (bought entire Ayre system) as well as Hanson (recently bought B&W PM1s there). So my table is likely to come from one of those shops.
Hearing the RP3 with the Totem Rainmakers at AE was a pretty involving experience - especially given the value of the components. It's been on my mind for a few weeks now. I spoke with Roger earlier today and he thought they might have an RP8 in about 3 weeks. I'm looking forward to hearing it. I'll be able to determine if it's worth the extra $ over the RP6 to me.
I've heard the Xtension 9 with Blue Point Special at Hanson - have not yet heard it in my system. What intrigues me is that I can use the Pro-ject with XLR (my phono pre has XLR inputs and outputs). Thats not a decisino 'driver', but it's a nice option since everything else is already balanced and in plave.
If I do get an RP8 I'd be happy to have you over for a listen.
Again, thanks for your input.
Craig

I would be happy to listen to the Project too. If you had any interest in hearing a very eclectic system driven by a VPI TNT6HR, Einstein monoblocks and Devore speakers, you would be welcome.

Tom -
I would love to hear your system. Looks like I can't e-mail you (your AA account states that you do not accept unsolicited e-mail), would you be able to contact me via the asylum?
Thanks
Craig
