Another nail in the coffin of the latest SL-1200 knockoff, the Pioneer PLX-1000. Designed for todays hiphop DJ that doesn't place sound quality as a priority and cartridge alignment is low on the list of things to do. Get out the Dremmel tool, I woulodn't invest 10 cents in a headshell for the PLX-1000.

Threadcrap much?! Man you're like a broken record here as well as on Audiokarma! If the guy is asking about a turntable he's already bought, he doesn't need you telling him he bought junk.
I suggested the same as a couple other posters to get out the Dremel tool. The facts still stand re the PLX, designed for the hiphop DJ, made in Taiwan with Chinese parts, I didn't say it was junk, you did and I now have to agree with you, the PLX is Chinese junk.
they can be quite atractive

I agree. And it's far from junk, but I let his comments go.
See ya. Dave
Indeed. A vast majority of those I've seen posting online on several turntable related forums who's actually bought a PLX-1000 likes it a lot.
I usually ignore the trolls but this particular one seems to have made it his life's mission to jump into any thread anywhere online mentioning a Hanpin-related and complain about cheap Chinese knock-offs. It gets tedious!
Enjoy your PLX. I plan on picking one up next month.
