Hello all,
Can anyone point me to or offer directions on how to make both height and "speed" adjustments on the JL-45 tonearm lift/cueing device on my Jelco 750D tonearm?
TIA,
Tim

It seems that the pressure that holds the arm in the up position bleed off and the arm lift slowly lowers back to the start position.

Yes I know but unfortunately no instructions specific to the cueing adjustments.
to raise/lower the piston a bit. I doubt the speed can be changed on any of the arms.

I did try to adjust the lift height using the set screw on the side of the device. After I raised it (or lowered it for that matter) and re-tightened the set screw, then the arm lift would not raise or lower the arm.
This is probably too obvious, so you have probably already checked it out, but is it possible you have rotated the cylinder so that either the padded arm that actually lifts the tonearm shaft is out of alignment or so that the lifter arm that you touch to lift the tonearm is impinged upon the anti-skate mechanism?
