It's better to have the vertical bearings offset to the same angle as the headshell in order to prevent azimuth from changing as the arm moves up and down.

Nope, I'm not new to vinyl and, nope, I've never seen that before. I've only seen things that I would consider hybrids, not true bayonet mounts, on straight tonearms.But let's all just conveniently forget about the original question: What tonearm is mounted on the Fairchild turntable? The answer isn't: Am I new to vinyl? My answer: I don't know what tonearm is mounted on the turntable.
