Low response today because everyone is out enjoying the holiday. I was at work and needed a distraction. Roads were empty on the way home. Town is desolate ...its like I'm the only one who stuck around.

My vote goes to the Yamaha. That the Yamaha tonearm came separate for mounting shows to me that Yamaha was concerned re protection during transit to the new owner, just a feeling that this Yammaha tonearm is above average. Why I didn't choose the Denon, simple answer is the Denon is another Hanpin Turntable Factory creation, the 100th Anniversary Denon DP-100A was a commercial flop and this looks like the same tonearm on the DP-500. An embarrassment to the proud Denon name of old.
