Well, maybe in terms of audiophile budgets but as for the mainstream public it is expensive. I also see issues with the rather low output at the RCA's on the Nomad (Output voltage (RCA): 287mV at 1kHz) and the Audioengines low input impedance of 10K. The Audioengine specs do not say what input voltage is required full output but I imagine its at least a half a volt to a volt. This means you'd likely need to buy a 1/4" stereo to two RCA cable and use the headphone out. That would be a little ugly due to the left front location and upward facing headphone jack. I called Audioengine and left a message as to sensitivity.E

I never look at the specs. I try a combo and if I like the sound I leave it at that. It sounds very good to my ears.

Oh cool, you have it and it works fine, good. The speakers have remote volume right> ? The site shows the remote but not up close to see what it does. Cheers!
