Got this box set at a record store close to the University of Maryland campus; Grateful Dead, live at the Nassau Coliseum, 3/29/90. with Branford Marsalis, excellent light and easy spin for relaxing, study, or chilling out. It is a Record Store Day box set, so I am not sure about availability. Sounds like a very nice recording, great instrumentation, dynamics, and detail.
Follow Ups:
Maybe Paul Young's "Everytime You go away" later....
Recent purchase at a used record store.
It was the album cover that caught my eye...
But it's pretty decent album if you like UB40 or similar British "reggae".
Has a bit of jazz flavor on a couple of songs. And Herb Alpert on trumpet!

Tom
Spinning Atlas by Real Estate. Heard a couple of these songs on NPR and took a chance. Excellent record.
I had not played my copy for about 20 years, since it's not really the type of music I'm into.
Anyway, we had played it at my audio club on a 3-watt single-ended tube system, and it sounded terrible. The system on demo was definitely not suited to this album. So I pulled out my copy at home to hear it correctly.
Apparently, I have an early US pressing cut by Wally Traugott, but I have no idea how I acquired it.
For nostalgia only. I maybe play them every few years.
and I finally listened to their Ummagumma for the first time.
This was awful.

Somebody Else, Not Me
and bought back memories of a misspent youth hanging around upper Bucks county in the 70's. I was at a few parties where Van Ronk, Jerry Jeff Walker, Dave Bromberg (who still lives nearby), Gene Shay presided (I just showed up). All of them were regulars at John and Peter's in New Hope.
Between there and the Main Point in Bryn Mawr I saw some really astounding performances.
Thanks for a rainy afternoon reminisce.
Wow
Shelly Manne and his friends/Contemporary
Milt Jackson Quartet/ Prestige
