One of my regular customers is apparently the first dealer of these turntables in this area. Was fairly impressed based on build quality for the buck when I demoed it in his shop.
A quick googling shows some good reviews.
Only difference I see is that he sells the Orbit Plus with an Ortofon OM5E versus the Grado Black1 - but in his shop, the table is $279 versus the $309 on U-Turn's website.
Anybody tried one of these? Designed & built in Woburn, Mass - so I would have thought a budget American made table would be touted pretty heavily.
No affiliation, but I'll add a link to the manufacturer's site.

I've seen it recommended here on a number of occasions for those who need an entry level turntable. However, most of the turntables we like to talk about are more expensive and more sophisticated.
Do a search for U-Turn and you'll find more than 200 posts.
Hi, John,
I just did a search on the Vinyl Asylum for posts regarding the U-Turn Orbit turntable and yes, 200 potential posts came up but very few (if any) had any real information about the turntable. When I used the Exact Match feature I get 17 posts and none of them say anything more than "it's getting great reviews" kind of comments, which aren't worth much without links to the specific review/comments.
So David asks a good question, one I've been wondering about myself.
Regards,
Tom
Hi David,
You will find that it has become the budget darling of the Vinylengine site.
Go there and do a search.
Phil
