You've picqued my interest here. Thanks!
According to a retailer's description, it "Sets in 60 minutes and cures in 24 hrs."
How long do you leave the Tightbond on the LP before you peel it off?
Much appreciated,

That's a great question and a little complicated to answer. It's like cooking, you'll have to use your eye and a little judgment.
It ALL depends on humidity levels. During the Fall/Winter months (dry air) the glue only needs 2-3 hours to cure (not counting glue dry time).
During these warmer months, it can take anywhere from 6-12 hours or more even. Again, depends on the humidity level.
I should mention I live in the Northeast USA.
While I disagree with the tool/finger thing (although I admit using a tool would get more even spread and perhaps use less product) Pappas is right on the money with drying time. It's just a matter of watching it. I'm in the southeast and sometimes it can take as long as 24 hours but average I guess it 12.
I'm a southeasterner, so I'll likely be running closer to Manny's experience generally.
Did someone say "Higher heat and/or humidity will extend the drying time"?
Yup. And of course it does!
Again, thanks, gents.
I'll likely get the Powerbond and start playing with it over the weekend.

This is the thread that got me started. It should cover any and all questions.
They also have the definitive US cleaning thread at AK for the DIY version. This summer I will be making one and comparing to glue. I hope US wins frankly. It's much more convenient and I'll bet if time is taken into account, cost per record will be about the same. Of course, taking time out of the equation and the possible price break of buying tightbond in bulk, glue may still win the economic battle. The DIY machine will run just about 400 bucks when all is said and done.
I hope you'll share your results when you have them. I'm sure many will be very interested. I know I will. :-)
