I started my Memorial Day weekend listening with a healthy dose of Eagles, including the video on Netflix. I think its called the history of the Eagles Part 1. If you haven't viewed it you should check it out. Its very good.
I lost track of everything I listened to over the weekend. Its been a very long time since I've had a listening session like I had this weekend. All weekend long I listened each day, at least 4 hours per day.

One of my favorites this year is the debut We Slept at Last from Marika Hackman. Similarities to her buddy Laura Marling, but usually darker, and more along the lines of electro-acoustic English folk music, old but new at the same time. Hypnotic, airy, brooding, uplifting, it's just very special, sometimes a little odd too, though in a good way. Not quite as accomplished yet as Laura Marling, but very few are... for folk's sake review .
...but the Chad Kassem interview bought him to mind, and caused his music to enter my brain without conscious effort on my part.
Therefore....Are You Experienced?
Same reason I played Hendrix today.
Disturbing the neighbors with Strauss 'Also sprach Zarathustra'
Robin Trower 'Bridge of Sighs' is next.
A must.

Another stormy night. Both make for great headphone listening.
