Hi: Does anyone have any information on either of these cartridges? Compliance, sound, etc.? They are dubbed "90th anniversary" cartridges and look to be poised to compete against the Denon 103 or 301.
Thanks!

Hi
Looks quite similar to the MC Vivo Red/Blue cartridges, which were descended from the long-running MC10/MC15 Super. I had one of the latter some years ago, and still have the Samba (a startling, translucent yellow version of the MC10).
The Vivo models, along with the Rondo line, were replaced by the Quintet series. I currently use a Quintet Bronze, and certainly think it better than the Rondo Red (and indeed the Blue, which I never quite liked as much). I feel pretty sure that the entry-level Quintet would be a step up from the MC-09.

Hi Mark, I think you nailed it. The case is similar down to the three holes on the sides for mounting of the stylus shield. The Vivos also have the same recommended VTF. Many thanks for the input.
2juki sells them on eBay:
Ortofon MC-09A
Ortofon MC-09B
They are apparently entry level cartridges. I didn't see any specification for compliance.
Right, those ads sparked my interest. I see amazon has them too, but no real info. I suppose I could write Ortofon, but it would be great to hear from someone who may have owned or heard them. I wonder how they compare to Ortofon's Quintet line.
