is off-center, which is clearly audible by the last track, a duet with Lucinda Williams. Love the album, and I will contact Amazon for a return, but I'm afraid I'll just get another one that is off-center. Anyone else had this problem with this album?
Thanks,
Jim

Follow Ups:
The record is mildly warped but I didn't detect an off-center problem.

My s.2 has a very slight but definite sway. S.1 is fine. I suppose I could have got one where the s.2 stamper was fine but installed a bit off on a different record press machine than yours, or mine was from a different stamper that was made a bit off center. It doesnt affect the sound quality like I first thot; I saw the sway & prolly freaked when I heard the reverb on the guitars on the last Lucinda Wms track (a little anxiety disorder kickin in : ) Mine was played on SL1210 wD103R. My deadwax #s on s.2 are FTN16033-B, 4 or U (very light etch & circled), BG, 23657-(3), s.1 the same except -A, not that I expect you to check your d/wax #'s. I appreciate your checking the on/off center & posting back, just FYI.

I'll play it again and report back.

Mine did have a slight warp, but my setup tracked it OK.

You could use a jeweler's file to elongate the hole in the direction that will center Side 2. Then simply push it against the spindle in one direction for Side 2 and the other direction for Side 1. Anyway, that's what I would do. Let us know if it works.
Good luck,
John Elison
I'll probably go that route, John. Done that before. Trick is getting apogee lined up with point at the spindle hole where you need to file. Can do with a little patience & precision.

If a stamper was made off-center then they'll all be that way until they switch to new stamper. I don't know how many they pressed, but odds are Amazon's stock is all the same.
Don't how many o' these pressed 5-10k. Not likely many stampers or machines were used. If one or both plates are off (only noticed s.2), all are gonna be off center for that run. Alas, I really like this album.
