....is the best sounding tonearm from my comparison against an SME 2012 on Denon wood bodied 103 or 103R using original SME, Orsonic or HS-1A wooden headshell. Very nice sounding, to me, as if its a perfect companion for my Garrard 301. Never look for an upgrade nor made any complaint in this forum about the combo or any other forum for that matter. Its been 8 years(or was it 9?) of worry free operation......----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Totally agreed wit you.
Even though there are many high-performing (and high-priced) cartridges around that make great sounds, there is something immensely satisfying and compelling about the Garrard/high-mass tonearm/Denon 103x combination. The combination overflows with musical adroitness.

the 12-inch Schick with Orsonic would be a good match for a very low compliance cartridge, such as the Denon.
Yes. I tried Koetsu Rosewood and Benz Ace on it too. Not bad at all, but the Schick/Orsonic/Denon to me is best. I
I was saving for the Ortofon SPU but can't seem to save enough for it as there's always some things that need to be paid for first every time I come close to the amount I need. Oh well...... I'm happy!.
