Went to the local Goodwill today and just as I was about to leave without finding much, a girl started emptying records from the bins, so I hung around, just in case. Sure enough, she started bringing more out and then kept on bringing more. There ended up being four of us going through them, but the others were looking for different things than I, so I still ended up with close to 40 nice records. Here are some highlights:
The Lawrence Brown is an early EMI issue, and sounds great. Listening now, a really fun record. The Miles isn't the earliest pressing, but it looks unplayed.
The Maynard Ferguson is an EMI pressing. A very early stereo, recorded 1957. Some claim that the cover art on the Artie Shaw is by Warhol, but it almost certainly is not. A really rare record, nonetheless. I have never seen it before. A mix of classical and popular pieces with orchestra, string quartet and jazz band. I'm interested to hear it.
The UK Brunswick of Louis Armstrong at the Crescendo seems to be pretty scarce.
There was classical as well. Shaded dogs and 6 eyes
All in all, not a bad day. Best one I've had in a while.
Follow Ups:
I go by there about once a week after class and almost never find anything, monday there was so much crap records there it is painful and time-consuming to go thru it all, I am guessing by your remarks they have even more over-flow there now!
I went back today, just in case they put more out after I left. I don't think they did, but I did get about a half dozen more. I think some of them were things that the other guys had in their stacks, but decided against. That store has been a wasteland lately. I haven't bought much there in some time. Just goes to show, timing is everything. I hope you're well. Give me a call sometime.

What a nice haul. You did good. The GWs around here carry beat up superfluous junk.
