This one wasn't on my list -- thanks! There are a number of contenders, probably worthy. Looking for "ears on" reports.

ears on report, I have one and it performs as it should. Very enjoyable music comes out of my Kef 105.4 speakers with B&O 4004 turntable with MMC-20EN cartridge going through Emotiva amp and pre-amp. Really sounds wonderful. I can sit and listen to it for hours. Now it is not the same as my Rega 25 that has a bunch of mods done to it with a Benz Ace hooked up to a Counterpoint Sa-3/ Sa-220 all original going through B&W 804 Nautilus speakers but just the same very nice to listen to.
If you are trying to stay budget but are worried about how it sounds get something you can return easily, like the Emotiva suggestion. Return shipping would be small I'm guessing. Emotiva gear is clearly not high end but great for those on a budget, usually better than expected.
G'day all, a couple of my thoughts. Yes I recommend the Lounge Audio LCR MKIII. Yes I have one and it is excellent and very inexpensive for the price. A low 100 picofarads input capacitance is a nice touch as that allows the user to optimise the input capacitance with the input interconnects used something extremely important with typical moving magnet cartridges.
DIY options are good too if one is up to DIY and electronics construction. Regards, Felix.
