Thanks! I don't want to have to do it again anytime soon. At any moment, my hands could have easily slipped and sunk the ship. Incidentally, that was my first replacement ever, and on a table notorious for its delicacy.

That's why you leave the stylus guard on while installing the cartridge. That or remove the stylus if you're installing a MM.

Agreed, and so I did. The VTA needs a slight adjustment, but I'm playing it now, and it sounds, in a word, wonderful!

It does look a bit low in the tail...
I fitted an AT95E to a customer's table once, as part of a rebuild (I think Nancy Kerrigan could have done less damage to a record compared to what was on there!), and the customer was indeed grateful! They loved the sound of that cart.
While I'm not a huge fan of MMs, that cart is a great "go to" for getting up and running.

Interesting, however given its initial sound quality, I may now rest easy knowing that it can only get better over time. If it doesn't, I'll not be disappointed, as it's that good here and now.
