You could make an easy test to find out if isolation is really your problem. You could put your turntable in a different room than your speakers and see if this improves its performance.

Moving the TT to another room is not an option due to distance. Steve Dobbins uses Stillpoints on his tables now but I have a hard time swallowing $2500 for feet.
I will probably go the DIY sandbox or racquetball/maple block approach first to see if that makes any difference and then would next go for an air suspension device, either the Thorlabs or the Newport.
John----that is a great suggestion. I put my Turntable, Preamp. and SACD player in an adjacent room. It's kind of a pain in the ass when you have to change records or selections on the SACD player, but the sonic improvement is worth it.
A long gone friend of mine used to put his table, phono stage, and preamp in the walk in closet adjacent to his listening room, leaving the power amps as the only thing one sees (besides the speakers, of course).
Sound was awesome, without ever an issue of feedback, etc. This isolation at a listening level that could only be rivaled by a rock concert PA!
YOW that was a loud system (and it did sound good)...
