Altho, I was a bit disappointed that they did not do this one. ( probably because Classic Records did it already )
It was so out of center hole ( deadly with a piano music ) it was a rare occasion that I actually had to return it. ( minor off center hole I usually live with it )
Follow Ups:
It was "Atomic Basie.". I did fix it and indexed the label so that I can center it every time.

on some 200g records. Maybe these were casualties.
Also, I recall the sound wasn't that exceptional.
I think I am better off with old OJC reissues without a bar code.
They're as good as,well, originals. At least in my opinion.
Not surprised about Classic but "Atomic Basie" sounds pretty good to my ears.

The clarity and immediacy were just not there.
It is the same problem with Kenny Drew's Undercurrent.
Piano players got a short end of lollypops.
Yeah his (lack of) piano sound has been discussed to death on other message boards. Horns are what make the music jump and getting the music to swing was their primary goal in the early days. That sort of carried on into the 60s as well.
