Tonight's NCIS was a bit of a downer at the end but there was one surprise for fellow asylum members. Resident computer nerd Tim McGee not only types on a vintage manual typewriter he listens to his tunes on a vintage stereo. Looked to me like an early 1970s Sherwood receiver into which he had a Dual TT plugged and spinning. Could have been a 1019. Can't be sure - might have been a PE if not a Dual.

We (D-wife and I) are avid viewers of NCIS (both this one and L.A> , though not big fans of New Orleans), and were pleasantly surprised to see McGeek cue up some vinyl on that table!
Not sure if that is a Dual or not. My first thought was BSR, given the amount of surface noise they foley'd into the sound track (or he hasn't changed the stylus in a generation or two!), but you might be right.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure its a Sherwood receiver as well, but as the other poster said, not sure what speakers they are...
Good, heart-warming episode, even with the well-placed amount of flashbacks.

One of the best series on tv! I think you are right about Dual, and the speakers looked interesting... No clue what they were.
