Hello All,
I have an ET-2.0 with Wisa pump. I'm in need of some advice or info.
I have had this ET-2 Wisa 300 pump since 2002 and finally I think the Wisa is going out. It's putting out less than 4psi at the pump and less than that at the arm after the filter.
I have ordered a Medo AC0110 air pump. My question is does any of the fellow members here that have a ET-2.0 arm and Medo pump? If so, what is the pressure your setting at the arm that works/sounds best for your ET-2 and do you use a surge tank with it also.
I also ordered a Pressure regulator so I can set the pressure.
Any help will be greatly appreciated

You should be able to bring the Wisa up to spec -
common problems are clogged intake filter and the wear of moving bits - be they vanes, diaphrams etc.
Contact Wisa and see if they offer a re-build kit.
I took a look at the inlet filter and it was dirty! replaced it but still the pressure is lower than 4psi.
I have been looking for the Wisa company to contact them but haven't found anything yet. I will keep trying.
i've had magnets fall.off the wisa pump arms. easy to see with dissassembly Easy fix with 30 min epoxy and a clamp.
I've been using a Medo AC0110 for about 12 years, almost daily, without any issues. I have it in another room, so noise isn't a problem. I purchased a new one as a spare recently, for a good price. I run mine full pressure for my maplenoll. A long time ago, I put a pressure gauge on it. I think it was around 18 psi.I do use a 5" x 4' piece of pvc with fiber fill as a smoothing tank.

that really good.
How many hours a day do you use it for? I haven't heard anything negative about using this pump with the ET-2.
I'm making a surge tank and I have a pressure regulator to bring the pressure down so the ET-2.0 to handle.
Thank You for the info.
I'd say I use it between 1 to 2 hours daily. There's been a few times I've left it on overnight by mistake, without any issue. Neither pump came with a power cable, switch or case. I wired a switch back to my listening area.
I will post back what my experience with this pump once I get it set up and tuned in to the best pressure for the ET-2.
I plan on using this pump for 3-4 hours a night. Last night I was listening to my LPs and went on for almost 5 hours but that's rare for me to do. I usually listen to music at night and listen between 2-4 hours.
Thanks again.
Contact Mr. Thigpen at ET and get the HIGH VOLUME manifold and use a large (to be kept outside) air compressor.
In between the arm and the compressor use a LARGE tank filled with polyester fiber. I use about eight feet of (I think) five inches in diameter PVC tube. This makes for very smooth air flow and there will be no need to worry about oil or water getting to your arm.
I have a valve near the tonearm for setting pressure. Doesn't need that much pressure - 10 to 12 p.s.i..
I am assuming you live in a house. I guess this would not work for those with apartments.
I will keep this in mind. But so far the arm is working great and at the moment the pump is still working well enough.
Monday the Medo air pump comes inn and I will get that up and running. I will post back my results.
Not with an ET2 but a Trans-Fi Terminator. Makes plenty of air for the Terminator and it's held up well (five years, no hiccups) but it's noisy. Too noisy to operate in the same room with the system even inside a quiet box.

Thank You for the reply and info. I will need something as quiet or even more quiet as the Wisa 300.
My concern with the Medo its not continuous duty. there are many aerator pumps ~5-10 PSI for fish ponds that are have 24/7 duty cycle and are as quiet as the wisa <30db. do some more research.
Thank You for the input.
Yeah, I know it's not continuous but other's have used it in that capacity (24 hours) without any issues. The most I sit and listen to LP's at a single time is 2-4 hours (Tube Gear) but mostly a little over 2 hours. For Long listening or parties I have a different Solid State system for that.
There is another one I may get after I receive this one. The Medo AC0410 is a continuous duty air pump.
I will check some more and see what I can find with the aerator pumps.
The Whisper pump (Blue) looks like a quiet pump but the don't have PSI specs on it.
