Strange, even in a great city like Paris, how the word "record" can divert one from more tourist-related endeavors. Just sayin'.

Ha! Possibly, the original poster and I stayed in the same 'hood, Rue Cler. You can't miss the laundry coming out of Rue Cler on that end. Interestingly, perhaps, on Saturday morning as we were getting ready to leave for CDG Aiport, we ventured out early for the Rue Cler street market. At the very last tent/stand, almost opposite Record Pressing, was a vendor dealing exclusively in LPs. Crate after crate. Alas, there was no time for serious crate digging.
Hey, nice picture! Great minds think alike. Yes, we stayed in Rue Cler at the Champs du Mars hotel. I really liked the neighborhood but I didn't see any crates of LPs. Rats.
Yep, that's where we stayed, too. Room 41, with a view of the Eifell Tower ... if you leaned out the window!
Of course the cost of another round trip ticket to Paris could pay for a lot of records at home. I used to fly for a living and found many great things overseas for cheap. However, someone else was paying for my ticket and hotel room. Now, when I see a North Face parka for $250 in the US, I am glad that I purchased a real one in Shanghai for $40. Some of these may have small factory defects, but they are still the real thing. I tested them in the hotel room.
I went to Crocodisc when we were in Paris years ago.
Near the Sorbonne & Pantheon in the Latin Quarter, where we stayed.
Picked up this Dizzy/Getz double there....
