I quit going to thrift shops a few years ago, the amount of hours invested to find good vinyl was becoming ridiculous. Really tired of flipping through hundreds of Jim Nabor, Firestone Christmas, and Neil Diamond LP's. I'd rather buy on Ebay from reputable LP sellers. As far as investment goes, I doubt that my family will have the patience to find buyers for my collection of mostly classical Decca SXL's, hundreds of Classic Record reissues, Bernstein DGG Mahler's, etc. I know that if I sold them one by one, I would get back whatever I paid for them over the last few decades, but I doubt I will live long enough to get them all sold that way.

Haven't cleaned them yet though.
It's just when I thumb through a few hundred LP's at the local Goodwill and 10% are Neil Diamond, well? I'm sure he's a great singer, just not my cup of tea. Why are there so many....

Sometimes when I see over and over again records I already own, I think those records must suck. :)
