I don't have the Pepper mono. I bought the ones that I didn't care for the stereo pressings, or in the case of "Help" because I only had the pressing with all the movie orchestral work interspaced.
I'm not finding "Help" to be any different as far as the bass is concerned. A bit plummy. I'm using an Ortofon 2M Black on an upgraded Rega P3-24.
All three LP's have some "whoosh" between tracks. I'm enjoying them, but I may have set my expectations a bit high going in.
I'm hoping "Please Please Me" and "With The Beatles" are better. A lot of my favorite tracks are on those two.
See ya. Dave

Let's see if this is any better than their 2012 Stereo reissue which I thought was just fair.
...didn't disappoint. No plummy bass here, and a nice overall treatment of the very early LP's.
See ya. Dave
